BATTLEZONE STATEMENT RE: COVID-19

& New 'rule of six' exemption

lasertag is a recognised physical sporting activity.  therefore we are exempted from the rule change according to the latest guidelines.  social distancing at our venue is easily achieved due to being non contact and being played out in a large arena.  We are a covid secure premises with measures in place in order you to have a fun & safe experience.
from the updated (22nd Sept) government guidelines we fall under a few exemptions which are listed below.
 
  • supervised activities provided for children, including wraparound care, youth groups and activities, and children’s playgroups 
  • exercise classes, organised outdoor sport or licensed outdoor physical activity, and supervised sporting activity (indoors or outdoors) for under-18s 
  • support 'bubble' groups of up to 15 participants - formally organised groups to provide mutual aid, therapy or any other form of support.

WE ASK ALL CUSTOMERS over 11 years old TO WEAR A MASK WHEN YOU ARRIVE AT BATTLEZONE, YOU WILL NOT NEED TO WEAR A MASK WHILE PLAYING AS THIS IS CONSIDERED PHYSICAL activity although we would still advise you to.  OUR STAFF WILL BE USING PPE THROUGHOUT YOUR VISIT.
 
our nerf sessions and nerf parties have been temporally suspended, we hope to be able to recommence nerf soon!
 
all parties and sessions booked will be completely private bookings, with 30 minute gaps between bookings in order to sanitise equipment and the venue itself.  hand sanitiser stations are located upon entry of reception and the arena.  some sessions now require a minimum number of x4 Pay 'n' play or x6 for camo weds & play 'n' pizza.  Parties are a minimum of x10 people.
We have decided to further reduce our maximum capacity from up to x14 to now up to x12 people in the arena at once. Meaning that if you made a booking for the maximum of x12, each team will consist of x6 players and will be required to form either 'Team Red Bubble' or 'Team Blue Bubble' and therefore socially distance from the other team when playing but also when in reception, using toilet facilities or eating party food for instance.
 
ALL FOOD ORDERED for parties WILL BE INDIVIDUAL SIZED PIZZAS AT OUR EXTRA EXPENSE.  if you would prefer the pizza BUFFET this option WILL still BE AVAILABLE upon request.  Party food will now be served in the arena on two separate tables distanced from one another, again with each team bubble per table.
PLEASE DO NOT TURN UP TOO EARLY FOR YOUR BOOKING AS WE WISH TO ENSURE ALL PREVIOUS CUSTOMERS HAVE VACATED BEFORE YOU ARRIVE, 5 MINS EARLY IS IDEAL!  if you arrive too early we may ask you to wait outside.
we ask all guests who are playing if they can wear their own cap or hat (you would usually use one of ours from the washed and clean hat box) our head sensor band goes over your hat so if you bring your own you won't need to use ours.
social distancing will be required, play your part and stay 1m apart (our policy in the arena before covid-19 was always 1m+ distance to avoid collisions).
after your session there will be a 30 minute gap until the next group session starts, we aim to have no two groups come in contact with each other so if we require you to vacate the building please don't be offended, we will allow a 15 minute post battle de-brief before you are required to depart.
 
We do ask all adults not playing to adhere to the rule of 6 while waiting in reception, if your child is attending a party why not enjoy some freedom for a few hours away from them by visiting some nearby fine local establishments!
